Terms of use

1. Purpose and acceptance

These terms govern the use of souk.com, a classified ads platform in Algeria. By creating an account or posting a listing, you confirm that you have read and accept them.

2. Your account

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. The information you provide (name, phone number, email address) must be accurate and up to date.

You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for all actions carried out from your account. One person may only have one account. Tell us immediately if you notice fraudulent use.

3. Posting a listing

A listing must faithfully describe a good or service that you are entitled to offer, in the right category, with a price in Algerian dinars (DZD) and real photos that you have the rights to.

Each listing must correspond to a single good or service. Duplicate, misleading or repetitive listings are prohibited.

4. Prohibited content

It is forbidden to post:

• goods or services that are illegal or whose sale is prohibited or regulated under Algerian law (weapons, narcotics, unauthorised medicines, counterfeits, official documents, protected species, etc.);
• hateful, defamatory, violent or pornographic content, or content that infringes human dignity;
• listings intended to deceive, defraud or collect personal or banking data;
• another person's contact details or photos without their consent;
• any content that infringes a third party's rights (copyright, trademark, privacy).

5. Moderation and sanctions

Listings are reviewed before they go live. A listing may be rejected or removed, with the reason given, if it does not comply with these terms. Listings may also be temporarily hidden when they receive several reports, while they are being reviewed.

In case of serious or repeated breaches, the account may be suspended or blocked without notice or compensation.

6. Transactions between users

souk.com connects users but does not take part in negotiation, payment, delivery or warranty of goods and services. You contract directly with the other party and bear the consequences alone.

A few precautions: meet in a public place, check the item before paying, never pay in advance to a stranger, be wary of unusually low prices and never share bank or verification codes.

The site's messaging is reserved for exchanges related to listings. Abusive messages, harassment, scam attempts and bulk messaging are prohibited and may lead to the account being blocked. A seller may choose not to display their phone number and be reachable only through messaging.

7. Free service

Using souk.com is currently free of charge. Paid options may be offered in the future; you will be informed before any billing.

8. Availability

souk.com strives to keep the site continuously accessible but does not guarantee that it will be free of interruptions, in particular for maintenance or force majeure.

9. Personal data

Personal data is processed in accordance with the privacy policy, which is an integral part of these terms.

10. Changes to the terms and account closure

souk.com may change these terms; the date of the last update is shown at the top of this page. Continued use of the site after a change constitutes acceptance.

You can ask for your account to be deleted at any time by writing to contact@lachelah.fr.

11. Applicable law and disputes

These terms are governed by Algerian law. In the event of a dispute, an amicable solution will be sought first; failing that, the competent Algerian courts will have jurisdiction.
